Nice to meet you! I’m Jennifer Samad.
I mean, Mommy (according to my two beautiful little babes).
But everyone else calls me Jen.
I am a Mommy of a toddler and an infant; both wonderfully terrific boys. I am a wife to a fantastic husband, older sibling to a fabulous sister, and daughter to some incredible parents. But I mainly just go by Mommy now.
But just because you are a mom, doesn’t necessarily make you feel like you are a Mommy. You have to LEARN to be a Mommy. The funny thing is, no one really teaches you what to expect or how to do everything you need to do.
Even though being Mommy is one of the most important things we will do in our lives, no one tells you what things you need to focus on and what things you really don’t need to worry about.
Having family, friends, group classes, co-workers, are all well and good (and can be very helpful), but they only scratch the surface of what we need to learn from them. Let’s face it, no one has the time to guide you through ALL the steps of Turning into Mommy.
And honestly, how truthful are they about all of it? People only glaze over the really ugly times. Through all the unexpectedly hard times I kept asking myself “How come no one told me this was going to happen?!”
I realized that either no one wants to burst your wonderful pregnant bubble or they just don’t want to admit to all the bad stuff. Hey, they are in the thick of it, just trying to get through it too.
The learning curve is incredibly steep, and some of us (me included) buckle from the difficult climb.
Turning into Mommy has been considerably harder than anything else I have been through in life so far. I felt like I was just barely surviving.
Learning to THRIVE and be happy as Mommy has been a hard but wonderful transformation. I FINALLY understand what all the other moms are talking about when they say how amazing motherhood is.
AND I CAN HELP YOU TOO!
I am so glad we found each other! If you need some help navigating this new world, I am here for you!
If you are anything like me and like to learn from other people’s mistakes, like straightforward honesty, like to know what you are getting into before you get into it, and you are feeling overwhelmed from being this strange thing called Mommy, then you have come to the right place my friend!
Problem solving and finding the best, most efficient way to do things is my jam (probably why I worked as an emergency room nurse for twelve years).
Now, I teach nurses to become great nurses and teach Mommies how to become their best and happiest Mommy selves.
It took me longer than usual to problem solve these new to me Mommy issues, but we’re getting there. One unfamiliar dilemma at a time.
I will give you the tools you need and the ones you didn’t even know you needed yet to not only SURVIVE, but THRIVE as Mommy!
I’ve always enjoyed my life as Jen, but now I’m finally learning how to enjoy my life as Mommy. And so can YOU!
All the love!
